School Council

The School Council is instrumental in making sure that pupils' views are heard.

Two pupils from each class - from M1 upwards - are elected to the School Council, and represent their classmates at the Council's weekly meetings.

The School Council has helped to introduce changes to the school menu, improved facilties for Senior pupils, and spearheaded a fundraising drive for new school equipment. This included the purchase of a new projector for the school hall.

The School Council is also active in charity fundraising. Members' latest campaign in aid of the Leicestershire and District branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) was inspired after hearing about the charity's work with local sufferers.

The Council has since asked all pupils to collect as many 20 pence pieces as they can in empty Smartie tubes to be donated to the MNDA. Other fundraising events for the charity include a cake sale and a non-uniform day.
