How to Apply

Prospective pupils can join Manor House School at any point during the academic year.

As part of the school's admissions procedure, after completion of the registration process, pupils are invited to spend two days at Manor House School during which they take part in normal school lessons and activities. The visit also enables teachers to assess pupils' social and academic skills, to determine whether they are suited to a place at the school.

Transistion through the school is seemless for pupils moving from primary to secondary education but for those joining Manor House School from other establishments transition days are also offered for pupils entering Kindergarten, Y7 and Y10.

It is set in the shadow of Ashby's historic castle Manor House welcomes applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, creed or disability.

Successful pupils are accepted into Manor House School because of their ability and determination to become an active member of the school community and to fulfil their potential, both academically and as an individual.

As a result, Manor House students leave the school as confident, well-educated and well-rounded individuals with excellent prospects ahead of them.

To register for a trial, parents will be required to complete the school's registration and medical forms and pay an administration fee of £100.00.
 

If the trial is successful, a place will be offered, subject to a satisfactory report from the child's current school (where relevant).

On acceptance, parents will be asked to pay a returnable deposit of £300 to secure each place. If a class is full, pupils may be offered a place on a waiting list.
