Manor House School is an independent day school in Leicestershire for boys and girls of all abilities, aged four to 16 years.

The school offers an affordable independent education, combining traditional values with high educational standards, in a caring and productive atmosphere.

The school combines traditional values with high educational standards.

Manor House prides itself on selecting students not only on the grounds of their academic performance, but also on their ability to fit into the school's close-knit community.

Former Headteacher said: "Prospective students spend up to two days at the school during which we assess their academic ability and make sure that they can manage the workload that will be expected of them at Manor House School.

"However, children are not selected solely on the basis of their academic performance. We also consider the valuable contribution they can make to other areas of school life, such as sport and music. We look at the whole child."

The school's small size enables teachers to get to know each pupil and to treat every one as an individual.

Families can also take advantage of excellent childcare facilities outside of school hours. The school runs a breakfast club from 8.00 am and offers a wide range of after-school clubs and activities.

MHS has excellent transport links to the Midlands and beyond. As a result, pupils come from a wide geographical area, including Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. It is the only private school in Ashby.

The school's unique package ensures that all pupils leave the school prepared to face the challenges of life in today's global society.
