News article submitted on 12th March 2009, 15:56

A scene from the production. An Easter production of 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' will light up the stage at Manor House School in Ashby later this month.

About 60 pupils, aged seven to 14, will stage the famous Lloyd Webber musical.

At the dress rehearsal on 23 March, pupils will perform to invited community groups and children from local day nurseries, before putting on the show for family and friends later in the week.

The performance will feature a range of music from country and western to calypso and French cafe-style.

Teacher Mrs Fiona Millington-Pipe, who has been helping pupils to prepare for the show, said: 'It is a very rousing production with outstanding performances by some of the younger members of the cast.'

Younger pupils will sing in the choir, while older ones will take on the speaking parts.
