News article submitted on 25th September 2009, 10:07
Coffee will be served to parents, friends and visitors at Manor House School on Friday (25 September) in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Coffee and cakes will be on sale from 2.30 – 3.30pm to coincide with Macmillan’s annual coffee morning fundraiser.
Linda Wordsworth, Deputy Headteacher, said: “There are so many people who are affected by cancer each year and the Macmillan nurses provide such a wonderful service.
“We are inviting parents, grandparents, friends, aunties, uncles and anyone else to pop in for a cup of coffee and a cake in aid of this very worthy charity.”
Manor House School holds a Macmillan coffee event every year.
Mrs Wordsworth added: “Charity is extremely important at Manor House School. It is a way of encouraging our pupils to think about others and do their bit to help.”
