School Appeals to Pupils Old and New
News article submitted on 11th February 2010, 15:04

Manor House School is appealing for pupils old and new to get in touch, when it holds its next open day in March.

The open day will be a chance for prospective pupils and their families to look around the school, talk to teachers and current pupils, and even sit in on lessons.

But it will also be a chance for former pupils to revisit the school and relive their schoolday memories.

Headteacher Ann Scrine said: “Manor House School delivers a modern education but has maintained its traditional values and sense of history – as visitors will see when they come to our open day.

“New pupils will be seeing the school for the first time. But we would also like to hear from former pupils who can tell us about their experiences and memories of the school.”

It is hoped that ex-pupils, particularly those that attended the school in the 1950s – 80s, will be able to help compile a more detailed picture of the school’s history.

The open day will take place on Tuesday 2 March from 9.30 – 3.30pm.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the open day should contact the school on 01530 412932 or email enquiries@manorhouseashby.co.uk
