Bunnies Get Ready to Race
News article submitted on 11th March 2010, 13:07

Bunny runnersGiant bunnies will be joined by super-sized chicks and eggs on legs for one of Ashby’s most eye-catching Easter traditions next week.

Manor House School’s annual bunny run will see scores of children and their teachers dress up in Easter costumes for a mile-long run around the school grounds.

Bunny runners are usually cheered on by family and friends, who gather to watch the spectacle.

Headteacher Ann Scrine said: “After 13 years, the bunny run is definitely a tradition at Manor House School. Not only is it a fantastic spectacle; it is a great way for pupils to let off steam on the last day of term.”

Prizes are awarded to the runners with the best fancy dress at the end of the event.

The bunny run will take place on Friday 26 March at 11am.
