Pupils are at their Peak
News article submitted on 29th April 2010, 13:32

Ready for a good bathCaving, abseiling and orienteering were just three of the challenges confronted by pupils who spent a weekend in the Peak District.

Pupils from S3, aged 13 and 14, visited the Hagg Farm Environmental Centre to try out a host of new and hair-raising activities, and to hone their skills in problem-solving and team-building.

Teacher Phillipa Beach, who accompanied the pupils, said: “We had a week of very mixed weather but that didn’t stop us experiencing lots of new and exciting challenges.

“Pupils were very keen to go abseiling and caving even though they ended up thigh-deep in cold water in places!”

This was the first time that the school had visited Hagg Farm. A second trip for next year’s S3 pupils is already being planned for September 2010.
