Family Friendly Shakespeare to be Performed in School Grounds

Family friendly Shakespeare will be performed in the grounds of Manor House School next month.
Touring theatre company Oddsocks will stage its irreverent but respectful take on ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in the shadow of Ashby’s historic castle.
Sarah Baker, Venue Co-ordinator at Manor House School, said: “Oddsocks are genuinely funny and have had some fantastic reviews since they started the tour in June.
“This really is a great night out for the whole family – fantastic entertainment in a fabulous setting. Everyone can bring a chair or a rug and a picnic, sit down and enjoy the show.”
Oddsocks have been adapting classic texts for family audiences for more than 20 years and have earned a reputation for delivering humorous, feel-good theatre.
The performance will take place on Thursday 26 August at 7.30pm. Gates open at 6.30pm.
