Junior School (3 - 11 years)

'Teaching in the Junior school is strengthened by the use of senior department specialist staff, for example in Geography and Science in Year 6' - ISI Report, 2014

Throughout the Pre-Prep and Junior classes, pupils follow National Curriculum guidelines with specialist teaching in a number of subjects such as French and swimming. The Junior School is for pupils aged from five to ten.

From Year 2, pupils learn their ICT skills in the school's recently-upgraded ICT suite. From Year 3, pupils are taught in the school's Science laboratories and use the dedicated Art and Design facilities.

Pupils take part in a range of enrichment activities.

Pupils regularly take part in trips and other hands-on activities to broaden their learning experience. They are also involved in school sports and other enrichment activities, such as music and drama.

During their time in the Junior School, pupils are encouraged to become increasingly independent and to develop their social skills and confidence, in preparation for their move to the Middle School.
