Middle School (11 - 14 years)

'Curriculum planning is strong and ensures that pupils' learning is continuous in all subjects from the Reception class to Year 11' - ISI Report, 2014

One of the great strengths of Manor House School is that pupils move seamlessly from Year 6 to Year 7 - without having to change schools.

For pupils elsewhere, the transition from Year 6 (the last year of Primary education) to Year 7 (the first year of Secondary education) can be extremely traumatic, in terms of curriculum, teaching styles and social change. At Manor House School, the transition takes place without disruption.

School trips help to reinforce pupils' classroom learning and encourage team work.

During this period, important foundations are laid for GCSE and A level examinations. Pupils follow a varied curriculum, and are given lots of support to address their changing physical, social and emotional needs.
